Brit Malik

I’m so excited to be part of this practicum program as an instructor. Working with students is truly a privilege, and I love learning alongside new family mediators as they build confidence and deepen their skills while discovering the magic of mediation.

I'm an Accredited Family Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM) and currently in the exciting process of launching a private practice. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care (Child Protection Specialization) from Vancouver Island University and am a Registered Social Worker.

With extensive experience in child welfare, I’ve spent years navigating complex family dynamics and supporting children and their caregivers through meaningful change. This work has shaped my approach to mediation; I bring a strong child-centered lens to every conversation, while keeping safety and the well-being of children at the heart of the process.

In my off-hours, you can find me chasing a soccer ball or spending time with my two young kids, who add whimsy and wonder to every day and are a constant reminder of why this work matters.
