This comprehensive 80-hour accelerated practicum is designed for aspiring mediators who are eager to gain hands-on experience and deepen their understanding of mediation practices. The course is divided into two main segments: **First 40 Hours:** - Intensive instructional time covering essential mediation skills and techniques. - Engage in three simulated mediations with professional actors to mimic real-life scenarios. - Learn to manage client communications, set up intake appointments, and request necessary documents. - Complete three full mediation processes from intake to final report. **Second 40 Hours:** - Focus on complex mediation cases involving parenting plans, child support, spousal support, financials, and property division. - Participate in guest speaker sessions and Q&A to gain insights from experienced professionals. - Receive guidance on filling out your application for the final 20 hours towards accreditation and completing your OAFM accreditation application. **Unique Features:** - Discussions on starting your own mediation practice, working with transfer payment agencies, and court-connected mediation programs. - Learn about case management, intake and screening, readiness, and tips for running a successful practice. - Explore creative marketing strategies, billing, website development, and promotional materials. - Network with other professionals and discover various types of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
